I am not too familiar with the films of Atom Egoyan, but having seen his last - Adoration - I believed I'd be quite interested in exploring more of his work. When I heard about Chloe, I wanted to get the details, especially the cast. With Julianne Moore, Liam Neeson and Amanda Seyfried acting together, what more can I ask for?

About the Movie: Catherine (Julliane Moore) and David (Liam Neeson), she a doctor, he a professor, are at first glance the perfect couple. Happily married with a talented teenage son (Max Thieriot), they appear to have an idyllic life. But when David misses a flight and his surprise birthday party, Catherine's long simmering suspicions rise to the surface. Suspecting infidelity, she decides to hire an escort (Amada Seyfried) to seduce her husband and test his loyalty. Catherine finds herself 'directing' Chloe's encounters with David, and Chloe's end of the bargain is to report back, the descriptions becoming increasingly graphic as the meetings multiply.

More of Chloe, Julianne Moore and Amanda Seyfried after the jump!

There were some scenes from the movie - featuring Moore and Seyfried - which I find quite fascinating. Moore, as usual, was at her elements. But Amanda Seyfried was a revelation! There is a video clip posted via Awards Daily, that was reportedly sent by Agoyan himself.

The Julianne Moore Oscar Saga Continues...

I watched Julliane Moore in Savage Grace recently - for the 4th time, I believed. There is something 'wickedly delicious' about watching her. Her sort of acting is intense, fearless, unassuming. As Barbara Daly Baekeland, she was a manipulating, selfish and wicked individual, who apparently is also quite lonely.

Says Peter Bradshaw at The Guardian on Moore's performance:

Julianne Moore plays Barbara - and after this film, and movies like The Hours and Far from Heaven, she is in danger of being typecast as the high-camp suffering mother. But this is a fierce and interesting refinement of the role. Her Barbara is always boiling internally with need: need for love, for tenderness, for social affirmation. After completing some paintings, including one awful Woolworths-type self-portrait with child, she organises an exhibition and scrapes up acquaintance with patrician artistic types in London, angling to use one of their salons as the venue for the post-vernissage luncheon. "Of course I shall host your little party," says one grande dame, and Barbara flinches imperceptibly at the put-down, recovers in an instant and is oleaginously grateful and relieved: Moore conveys the sequence of facial events with great precision. I just love the way she acts - from movies such as Far from Heaven, The Hours, Trust the Man, Evolution and many others. With four Oscar nominations, when will be the time for her to win?

Amanda Seyfried Shows Some Guts!

Her supporting role in Jennifer's Body where Megan Fox is the lead was a big surprise for me. But I definitely understand why Fox got the lead role in the first place. It was supposed to have been written for her. But Seyfried, after seeing her in Nine Lives, Mama Mia! and a number of Veronica Mars and CSI episodes, is destined for bigger, meatier roles.

Chloe, might be, the film to showcase her talents.
